    Hi all new to hunting.

I just bought a whites prism II. I was wondering if it will find Civil War relics? I Also was wondering if anyone in the Hagerstown,Maryland area would like to go mding to teach me some tricks of the trade. I would appreciate it thanks.

Hello. Welcome to the forum. Perhaps if you go the Mug Shots subject heading and check those posts, you'll find someone who lives in Maryland, Northern Virginia, Delaware, southeastern Pennsylvania, etc. Then, just PM them and ask about hunting tips, get togethers, and clubs. Also, check for metal detector dealers in your area and contact them for info on those same topics.

Good luck and good hunting. NOW'S the time to research and plan for warmer weather hunting. Spend the cold days in your local libraries researching local histories. BUT, do not mention the words and phrases, "treasure, relic hunting, metal detecting," etc. in any combinations. Use the cover of school research or genealogy interests.
