    A.B. Dyer

Found this years ago at a garage sale for $5,

Inside the envelope is special orders dated DEC 2nd,1864 on stationary
    from Dept. of Ark headquarters.

Thought it might compliment a collection but who knows, any thoughts?

Apologies for the rather dark pics, i`ll try to get better shots.

    Nice piece you have there!!!
I am not an avid collector, but maybe with pieces
like this one floating around, I should try to pick up
    a few.

    Re: A.B. Dyer

The special orders still have state capitol stamp in the upper left corner,
(i was careful not to crush it when i framed it). It`s signed by the
assistant adjutant general who`s sig i cannot read " W.D something",.

Also has a spot that says "by order of major general F. Steele" but is
    unsigned.

Did a few searches but came up empty, the orders themselves are for a
Lt. Kern, co. B 11th (colored troops) infantry.

Also in the envalope is a invalid pension certificate for "john hayes jr." of
the same co. B. signed by "acting secretary of the interior" (cannot read sig)
and John c Black, commissioner of pensions (1885).

Neat stuff. wish i could get decent copies, i hesitate to do an actual photo copy.
