    Please help with this ring.

    Hello

I found this ring on a site that I know a house was that was built pre 1905. The house is gone now.

We dug up some iron objects that I think are horse related then I found this ring.

The pictures do not do it justice. There is NO doubt this is a ring and not copper plumbing.

Can anyone tell me anything about it?

Yeah, I know Nick I was just taking someone's advice and posting it here.

Guess I'm not cool enough to hang with the CW dudes even though I only live three miles for a battle site. Oh well maybe when I find a neat button or a cool bullet....

    Larry,

Were there any bones or coffin nails attached or in the area?

Noodle the only thing I know is that the house that used to sit on the site was built in 1900. There was also a barn on the site and another house built sometime after 1910 that burnt down about 40 years ago.

The lot was within 1 mile of the main road that lead to a ferry on the Mississippi River that Some Indians were put on during the Trail of Tears event and at one point at least a thousand troops crossed at the site by ferry during the war.
