    Cost to clean coin?

What would it cost to send a large penny to a professional cleaning service?

Which one would be the best?

    More than it's worth

dug coins aren't worth much (especially coppers)

avg. sale price/worth of a dug coin (like a large cent or 2 cent piece) with any noticable corrosion/enviornmental damage, pitting, etc. is about $2

If it is not rare, I wouldn't waste my money sending it off to get cleaned. Instead, you should consult Don in SJ's method on the preservation forum for instructions on how to clean coppers with peroxide.

Right on Kyle! I was an 'olive oil" guy until I read Don's method, and now I'll never go back to that. I just wish I'd known about it earlier.
