    digginer:

A lot of dug coins look worse if you try using baking powders and other
products intended for other uses. We've all tried various chemicals with ugly
results when we first started finding coins. I'm just assuming these are dug
coins. If not sometimes just carrying a circulation coin around for a week in
your jeans pocket will safely buff it clean. I've left coins in the pockets while
doing the laundry and was surprised at how good they looked. Baking soda
is surprisingly gritty and if rubbed too much will leave scratches you can see
    with magnification.
How about providing the type coins you have with the date, mintmark and
grade so we can be of help.
