    Rustaway

Has anyone ever tried Captain Lee's Rustaway? A freind brought me a bottle to try on some of my dug relics. I tried it on a simple harness buckle and think it did very well. The rust is gone and the Rustaway leaves a protective coat on the metal. The pics are before and after cleaning. I also left the buckle out in the weather for a week. Still no rust. What do you think?

It acually looks a little better in person than the pic.

I don't think I would use it on anything good. Besides, I been wanting to build myself an electrolysis setup so looks like that's my next project.

It's funny, I got into electrolysis and did some of my crap stuff to sell, but here I am years later and all my best iron still rusty. Having used electrolysis and see iron done with various chemicals I know I rather zap my iron.

Sounds like a good winter/cabin fever project.
