    Who can help me?

    I'd like this thimble fixed.
Does anyone know who does this type of work?
    Newt

    Thanks everyone.
I'll follow up with a pic when done.

    Re: Who can help me?

There are several who can probably do it, but is it worth paying much more than it's worth? If it has meaning, and not about the money, yes I think it can be done.

This guy is an expert at repairing dug items. Robert McDaniel, 256-767-6636. I found his number on another post so assume it's a business phone too, and why I posted it here.

I have heard Robert is the best at this kinda thing. But, I agree with IP, is it going to be worth it?

    Nice thimble.

Yeah, it's my first thimble after 20 years detecting. Thimbles have eluded me till now. Silver too.
    Thanks for the number.

    Re: Who can help me?

Newt, you can spread out the dents with a needle-nose pliar, just put fabric
between metal and pliars. That's how I restore mashed brass lanterns and such. First try this method on something else to see if you like results.

Great silver thimble! Took me a long time to find my first one. Are you holding out on us by not posting finds? Tsk tsk!

Try a jeweler. They can work miracles on trashed rings. This should be childs play for a decent jeweler.
I know it's here, just need a bigger coil!
