    soldering flux

I put some flux on a penny and it made it look brand new. Has anyone ever tried this?

it wont mess you up right away, but if you were to leave it on your skin , you would get some irritation. its not corrosive like sulfuric acid, but it is acidic. not sure what it did to the penny but if i had to guess, i would say it removed a very minute layer of copper...but im not a chemist.

Anyone ever try CLR. It is safe for all silver or copper or whatever you want to clean. It takes off the oxidation instantly.
