    To Clean Or Not To

I have a few Morgan Silver Dollars sitting in a drawer for 50 yrs. They are tarnished and not worth anything more than the silver value. Would it be OK to use Carbona Precious Metal Wipes? I used them to clean some old silver spoons and it worked OK. I was wondering if that is not advised on coins or what. Thanks.

Definitely not advised. Unless they are damaged even common Morgans are worth more than the silver value. If there are rarer dates, mints or varieties they could be worth much more, cleaning would drastically reduce the value.

Tarnish is not a good indicator of worth,, But I disagree that even a common morgan is worth more than it's silver value. Untrue at todays valuations IMO. When silver was at 23$ and less that may have been true.
But do not clean your coins, there are so many ways to evaluate the worth beyond even the wear.
