    cleaning my indian head cents.????

    Can anyone tell me whats best way to clean my IH Penny's.. i have tried white vinegar on my 1900 ih, and it pitted the heck out of it ..good thing it wasn't an 1877. i still have found a few that are caked with crud and i would like to see the dates on them but afraid i will harm them..what should be done in this case??

    I use the same hot hydrogen peroxide method that I use for Large Cents and other colonial copper coins. Here is the link:
