    Book Conservator

I have an very old family bible, it's Spanish leather with gold gilt and silver buckles, printed in London with no copyright date or Pinter's date...
What I am in need of is someplace reliable with a good reputation, to send for restoration, the leather is cracking, pages yellow and binding is getting very fragile, and I want a good job that will not ruin the it's value...

As a side note, is it your family's, does it have family genealogy in it, either yours or someone elses?

If it has family info, I was going to suggest copying any info and the title/date page and sending it to the county genealogy society where they lived.

    Hi Sheldon,

Try taking it to a museum, or call them. I've been lucky finding some good techniques talking to their conservation people. They can put you on to whose respected & does good work in your area.

I know it's here, just need a bigger coil!
