Quartz Point restoration

I don't know if you guys ever tried this but it works GREAT for quartz points and for others too if you can figure out a way to die the wax to match the color of the point. I use wax for just the quartz points and a different material for the flint... here's a pic of a typical broken quartz point, nice base, about one third there- top two thirds are just wax. Cool eh? Good way to restore and not damage the original artifact.
