anyone use a brass tumbler for reloading to clean clad?

Just wondering if anyone else has tried this? I am sure that the clad cleaning question has been beaten to death but I didn't notice anything about brass tumblers. Should I seperate the copper from the rest of the clad and why? What kind of medium should I use. Is there a better meathod? Thanks for any input.

use crushed walnut hulls found at larger gun stores. the corn cob is softer and works better on brass.
