electrolysis cleaing question

how come when i clean pennies they look great but then like a week later they are all black and bad looking

Don't clean coins with electrolysis. Wheat's are better soaked in distilled water until the details show well. To make them look nicer heat and coat with Renaissance Wax and buff.

Electrolysis makes all coins look pitted and nasty.
