    Lemon juice in tumbler?

A friend of mine said that she cleans her copper kitchen items using lemon juice and salt. Has anyone here ever tried lemon juice in a rock tumbler to clean pennies? Did it work? What kind of media would work with this?

I've never used it, but I've heard of people using it as a soak for coins. Lemon juice is a mild acid and works similar to vinegar. As far as mediums, people use white aquarium gravel, walnut shells, commercial mediums, etc.

I've never tried lemon juice but it sounds like a good idea. I use aquarium gravel and dish detergent for cleaning my clad.
