Stopped at the welding supply shop to buy the 3/16 carbon rods. The box he bought out to me were all broken and of no value as gouge rods so he gave the box to me at no charge. Going to test later this afternoon.

If youre not near a welding shop,or if theyre out of carbon rods.Just take a D size battery apart.I used the carbon rods out of two D batteries to make an arc light.

Good to know. I have found some old battery cores in the woods. I saved them cause I don't think you can scrap them but hey now I can recycle them!! I bet they last a while to. The iron anodes always dissipate after to long.
