    Oxi Clean?

Has anyone ever tried an Oxi Clean soak on coins? I was wondering if it would work or damage. Thoughts?

I haven't tried the product and wouldn't want to test it on anything of value. Anything that sounds like it can oxidize another material isn't something I'd put a lot of faith into.

There is no single "cure all" when it comes to corroded coins, due to the various metals that make up the coins alloy. Only experience, observation and in some cases testing of the corrosion, can tell you which cleaning method is best for the circumstances.

I've been wondering about using OxyClean as the electrolyte when using electrolysis to clean relics. Have any of you tried that?
