Cleaning green corrosion from wheats.

Thought that I would post these pics of a wheat cent that I had pretty good luck with in a 50/50 solution of CLR and water. I have been trying to find a way to get the corrotion off of copper coins. So far thi works the best.
This coin soaked for about 2 min, brushed LIGHTLY with a SOFT bristle toothbrush. The green turned into a kind of paste anf brushed off rather easily.
This may be general knowlege, or not. Thought I would share my luck with it.

just make sure its a common before you "clean it" --don't want to do it on rare coins ---knocks down the value --- Ivan

I agree with this.

Key date or rare coins should never be cleaned "by the collector"
NCS a branch of NGC does a pretty good job of cleaning and protecting the good ones.
