    Cleaning Corroded Copper Coins

I have a number of Indian Head cents and two cent pieces that have a lot of copper corrosion on them. I have tried tumbling them in the past and it just leaves deep cuts in the coins where the corrosion was. Is there any way to get that stuff off and leave the coins in decent shape? Some are so bad that I can barely tell what they are, let alone read anything on them.

    Re: Cleaning Corroded Copper Coins

    Hey,

The problem with Corroded coins is that the Corrosion is metal that has been eaten away. In other words the corrosion has/can desolve those pritty picutures and details even the plane of the coin can be eaten.

    Keep @ it and HH!!
