    question

    I found my first v nickel today ,I wrote in the find the other day i found my first stand quarter . I tried to send a picture but it said to big .I had my md for 15 to 20 years(using 5900di pro) but just started to use it ,2 questions these finds where at a beach /creek area .1 i just cant clean it good, the the standing you see the back (bird) the front is real dark brown you cant see the date .the v nickel you see the date 1912 but also brown .how to clean .and the 2nd ,the nickel was maybe 1/2 inch deep why is that you think and if i found them it is probably not hunted ? thanks for the help I will try to send the picture again

    I clean my coins using plan water and a soft toothbrush if needed. Then if further cleaning is needed I use a mild dish soap solution soak and then use the toothbrush. You can use toothpaste if you need more, but that's as far as I go. And never try cleaning a key coin, they say take it to a professional for cleaning.


    You need to change the pixles to 720 wide and 450 high in order to post photos.
