Cleaning gold jewlery

How do you best clean dirt and grime off of intricate gold jewlery?

I use 30 second Dips in Electrolysis Baths, and a Tooth Brush.

Don't do it with Plated Jewelry tho' it will remove the Gold

Hmm.. and what if you are not sure if its gold plated? This is the ring that I am trying to clean. It is stamped 10k on the inside. I am assuming that it is white gold because of the 10k stamp because it looks silver with a touch of copper
