Button Cleaning ?

Any suggestions as to how to clean better? I dont care if it goes bad, its around 1930.Just want to use tis as my mule to learn how to clean.I have used dish soap and a toothbrush thus far. Dont get me wrong. This button is cool to me as I am collecting things to display at Town Hall Building, But let this be the one to learn. Thanx for the help.

Whats that blueish/white stuff in the middle of that button?

Maybe one of those little bead blasters would work?

I'd sure wait and see what popular consensus says about the idea...

Looks like copper oxide (corrosion).
I have a similar button that I worked on but have not finished with yet.

I am using electrolysis and a brass wire wheel
I will post a pic if it comes out well

I gotta say that what ever that stuff is, it grew and filled the button UP! made it heavier than I think It should be.But this is my 1st, 2 piece button this old.
