I picked up this mantel clock about 18 years ago but do not know much about it. To me it is a little unique in the fact it has a 24 hour face and an alarm as well. Not sure how common these are but has anybody else seen something like this? Any guess on how old this clock may be or how I could tell?

Thanks for looking.

Any markings on or in the clock? Underneath? Back side? Does it run/keep time?

Unfortunately the clock does not have any markings or stickers anywhere I can see. There are a couple pencils markings which I assume are measurements and the key does have a number on it but that's it. I enclosed some more photos for possible help.

The clock is functional and even the alarm works as well.

Believe it's a vintage Batalha clock originating in Portugal. Check this link for more info:
Batalha Clock Company - Steeple Clock with Alarm Mechanism - Made in Portugal - (circa 1970s) - WNS-CLK-142

I was starting to think I was never going to find out the origins of this clock. Much appreciation to you Webster734 for the identification! Unfortunately I was thinking the clock was much, much older than 1970s. Oh well it is still a neat piece. Thanks again.
