we meet the second tuesday of each month at the PICADILLY'S at 3216 south UNIVERSITY BLVD * --the "offical" meeting starts at 7 PM but we generally buy a meal as our "rent" for using their spot so most folks get their about 6 PM and eat and chat a bit before hand = visitors are welcome of course --THE CURRENT CLUB PRESIDENT * is Ivan Salis - the current contact phone # is (904) 879 - 3762 -- snail mail address is

may 12th . 2012 will be our annual hunt at main beach in fernandina , florida * its fee based for adults $ 25 for club members -- or $40 for a club family (husband /wife)-- hunt fee for non members is $50 for one or family (husband / wife) $80 and includes a "membership" (normal cost for membership is $25 / 40 family ) and monthly news letter (we got some nice prizes including 3 mexican 8 reale shipwreck coins from the 1743 dutch vessel "hollandia " as well as a $5 gold piece we will be raffling off as well at the hunt ( the gold coin was worth $205 bucks when bought ) -- under 16 year kids can hunt in our "special" kids hunt for free -- food charge for non hunting persons is $7 *

I'm a 69 yr old male Ray, that moved to Jacksonville about 3 months ago.... I moved from upstate NY where I metal detected on land for 31 years..... Is this club still around ?? I am trying to find out info on hunting Jacksonville parks... Do you know if metal detecting in Willowbranch park is permitted ?? I can't seem to find out info very easily... thanks...
