For you I would guess 1 1/2 to 2 HRS depending on the time of day and traffic conditions around Atlanta.

Re: Metro Atlanta Metal Detecting Club
I try to get out every weekend, even if only for a few hours. Some of the retired guys in the club hunt several times a week.

Yes, we have several a year.
We have an annual seeded coin hunt.
A bottle hunt.
This year we also had a beach and civil war relic hunt.

Re: Metro Atlanta Metal Detecting Club
You would have to become a member of the club. $24 per year for a family membership. It would be $12 for the remainder of this year, membership is starts from July to June of the following year.
Some of the hunts are free, others require a donation.
The seeded coin hunt in November (must have paid dues by September 30th prior to te hunt) is currently $15 each but we may have to consider raising this if the price of silver coins keeps going up at present rates.
The beach hunt was $10 each and most people found more than this in modern coins and other goodies.
