Any info on clubs in Northern, Illinois?

Does any one know of a metal detecting club in North West, Illinois or the Chicago land area? Are thier people on this board that are in Northwest, Illinois and would be interested in starting a club?

there is a large club in chicago, I think the name is midwest historical society,and a new one that meets in round lake but I don't know the name. try the first one ,they may have the name of the second one.hope this helps, happy hunting, Bob

North west Illinois you have the Illinois & Iowa club, I know there is a good club by Bloomington and one in Chicago.

Hi All, My name is Ron Guinazzo. I'm the president of the Chicago club, Midwest Historical Research Society.
Our club has about 80 members. We Meet the 4th sunday of the month at the Berwyn Moose Lodge, 3625 S Harlem Ave. Berwyn, IL. At 1200 noon. Monthly topic for show and tell, find of the month table, and raffle table with silver rounds and a gold coin every month. We do 4 large outings each year, Beach hunt in May, Picnic in June, Big hunt in Sept, Christmas party in Dec. We also do an annual trip to somewhere outside the U.S. Have been to Cancun, Puerto vallarta, and ixtapa, Mexico and this year in march 8 of us went to Colchester England. We will be going back to Colchester England in october this year and still have space available. Club Dues are 20 dollars per year which gets you the monthly newsletter and entry into the three club hunts and discount for Christmas party, there is a 10 dollar initiation fee.
