Looking for locations around desoto parish

I have a few places in desoto I'm planning on hunting. Got a lead n an old slave community. Anybody know any civil war spots I could hunt around desoto?

Hey straightpostal!! Multiple sites in your part of the state!! Very Old colonization regions up there!! Look up pre colonization forts and you will be amazed!! Unfortunately most are on the Historical Register!! Great sites for exploring outside of these!! GOOD HUNTING!! VERDE!! GOOD LUCK!!

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping to fund some areas close to the battle sites. Do u you anybody know if you can get permission from park ranger at the museums such as the one in mansfield or does it have to be by the state to dig on site? Thanks josh
