New to Biloxi, would like to get into MD'ing in the area

Good Morning yall, I just moved here and I am looking into getting with some gulf coasters to do some MD'ing. I am in the AF at keesler. I have been out to biloxi beach near the Beau. Didn't find much but nails and old steel ship pieces. I needed to find a hobby on the weekends and this seems like the best thing to keep me out of trouble. I am originally from NC, joined the AF in '02, moved here to keesler for 6 months, moved to Florida for 2 years, then moved to Nebraska for 5 years, and now im here for the next 6 months. I am married with one on the way. Wife lives back in Nebraska while im here. Hope to get to know some of you and hopefully do some great detecting.
