Hello MDing enthusiasts!

I have been lurking here for a day or two and I am a regular on the boards at Collectors Universe. I am an avid, but new detectorist (about 3 months) and a collector of coins with a specialty in Franklin Halves.

I love this hobby and am as adicted as my job and family time will allow, although we have centered at least on vacation around detecting. I hope to get to know you all very well, and possibly even meet some of you along the way. Happy Hunting!

Jim

Meet my two 'tecting partners; Jordan (the little girl) and Lucy, the best hole covering terrier this side of the Mississippi!

Welcome to metal detecting and to the forum.
What got you interested in collecting Franklin Half's?
My goal is to complete a set of dimes from 1892 to 1964. (All dug).
I only need 6 or7 for the set. Of course, I haven't found the 1916-D Mercury, but there is still hope. A friend found one about a week ago. :'(

I have had my GTAx 1250 for about 6 mos. I have been looking at buying a new one lately, I have my ideas, possibly the Explorer II or the GTI 2500.

Ya know, I really can't say what got me onto Frankies. I just love halves really. My goal is to get a full type set, then move to Walkers and get a complete "long" set in MS65, then move to Barbers, etc.

You've got a 21 D?
