I live in PA but often hunt in South Jersey. YOu might want to join the south jersey metal detecting club.

Where in SJ do you hunt? I've been trying to hook up with someone for ages. I'd really like to do some hunting on the banks of the Delaware. Not sure where you can do that legally though. Perhaps somewhere around (but not in!) Red Bank Battlefield.

As soon as I get a new detector I'll yell. I previously used the XLT, but the wife never gave me time to use it. I sold it and now I'm sorry I did since I divorced the witch and got a much younger model that wants to detect also, hopefully as soon as the holidays are thru I can get another.

You can hunt almost any beach on the Delaware river unless it is a park like Red Bank. You can work the beach up to & past the park but not on the parks beach. Me and a buddy found a 1973 penny out there LOL. You have to go at mid going out high tide, at highest tide you can't get back to the parking area at the bottom of 2nd St. in National Park.
