New to this board and somewhat familiar with detecting.
I'm from Upstate NY .. near Syracuse.
Recently purchased a GTAx 550 and itching to get outside
with it. Every now and again when the snow melts (sometime's
i just can't wait) . i venture in my back yard and start diggin.
Found some old husky cars, silver spoon and a bunch of coin's,
mostly wheatie.
Anyhow ... it's great to be here and I look forward to getting
to know you all.

I've only lived in Fulton for 3 year's maybe. I'm originally from Central Square, NY ..
only 20 min. from here though.

Thanks! Actually it's in the 50's for three day's here and i'm gonna take advantage of it.
Husband and I will be heading out this afternoon and hitting some spots ..

Hey Valerie, I bought a GTAx 550 also last fall. It took me some getting used to (still), how have you been doing with it? I do mostly coin/jewelry but lately been thinking I should keep it at factory settings all metal and just listen for the good ring tones. That'll give me better depth also.
It's my 1st Gerrett, how do you like yours?

Hi Val!! I live a bit south of watertown, NY, But my office is in cicero. I have been on a job site in watertown latley but It is only a matter of time before I will be making daily trips to syracuse. Let me know if you and the hubby ever want to get togeather for a hunt!
