How do i start a club or Group?

Have been looking and cant find anyone on web forums that hunt in Altoona PA. what other ways are there to find people that Metal detect in my area? would like to start a Group in this area.
Any info would be great.

Well...the obvious is...there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of folks in your area that detect and are on-line.

I don't know what kind of papers you have up your way but we have things like the Green Sheet or the Horse Trader and the Pennysaver which are free to pick up anywhere and maybe you could run an ad. Try posting a notice in a local grocery store bulletin board or your public library.

Years back a fellow and I formed the NPPF and that was done through the library bulletin board and the Pennysaver. Got a decent turnout the first meeting which the library allowed us to use a room.
