I've belonged to 3 or 4 clubs now and it helps a lot. I advise anyone who detects to do it. You can talk to like minded men and share some finds, fun, and stories. Some people end up going out together and others just find good spots. It is much more fun with a friend. Not too many fish stories though as most people do make good finds if they put some time in.
Now I am going to join VHPS Virginia Historical Preservation Society. They coin, relic, and gold hunt. They are interested in history too, especially Loudoun, Fauquier, and Fairfax Co.

We meet 2nd tuesday evening 7:30 pm every month at Sterling Annex near 28 and W. Church Road in Sterling.

Directions Sterling Annex is a Loudoun county community center located right next to 28 on Church road. It is in an old school house and very easy to find. Just come up 28N and turn right onto Church Road and take first right into parking lot. Or get onto Sterling Blvd and turn onto West Church Road and follow it thru to just before 28. Turn left into parking lot. Look for the old school, it is easy to see from Church Road.
