Contrary creek water is yellow ???

All,, new to prospecting/panning.
Went to CC first time, water was yellow from minerals, ??
rocks were stained yellow ?? mus was yellow ??

how would one pan in yellow water ??
How would I be able to see anything ??
Is there a secret to working in this type of situation ???

All I have read is this is a good place to start, am I missing something ??

Hey Rwbbts, I know it's been a year since you posted your questions, but I saw them just now as I was researching Contrary Creek.
I went to CC last year in the Fall and the water was clearer; not perfectly clear, but not yellow. I think the #1 answer to your questions is that you should try to go after a rain (or this year after the snow melts) and the water may be clearer.
I was able to find a little gold last year in only 2 hours of digging and sluicing. I'm planning to go again this year when it warms up.
