new member from altizer, looking for a buddy to hit some spots from huntington to milton and beyond. I have been md for a little while , know some good spots and have been trying to get others involved but not to many people get as excited as me. I met a fellow a few weeks ago in rotary park but didnt get his info like a dumby( shawn ) I think. Today I saw a guy across the river in milton from where I was at the old covered bridge but he was across the river. Hope One of you guys are on here and would like to md some places I have found.

Re: Altizer to milton
Yesterday I found two bullets in bville, found an antuiqe tootsi toy car 1939 mecedes in my own back yard, which has been in my family since 1924, has been through the floods of years past and has lots of history. 1927 penny, 3 mercury dimes 40's, 1945 quarter, 1908 (narciccus) oxford silver plate company fork, lip stick tubes made of brass and copper, and many others. I use my own back yard time and time agian, hehehhe. The civil war troops marched right through my back yard time and time agian on there way to bville to fight johnny reb and then back to guyandotte over and over. Kewl stuff in these parts, \m/ \m/

Re: Altizer to milton
Have not been at Howells mill with metal detector but I find old bottles there all the time on the island down stream from the mill area but do know some locations near the old mill to md. I have just started finding some civil war relics, they are very cool. Just got a bad case of poison ivy because I was digging bullets out of mud river bank down near the old mill at merritts creek, bullets are dropped and fired, but poison ivy stinks, lol. Very good spot to try

Re: Altizer to milton
Yea General Jenkins and his men camped there for a night or two, I believe they got chased out by yankee cavarly and was a brief skirmish but nothing big, is that public access down there where the mill is or partially is lol, I would like to metal detect sometime but don't know who to ask permission? There's also an old school I believe like the third house down on there property.
