Re: 1970's

I hope you search a lot because based on my results (and I do 12 boxes a week and road trips now and than) It's gonna take me 20 years at my current pace. I estimate that in the 3 1/2 years that I have been at this I have searched over 3 million halves.

I have (3) so far 2) 70-D and 1) 70-S...........So like 1 in a million

Re: 1970's

I've been searching for a little more than six months pretty hard and found one, 70-d. It came from a tellers tray. That day I also got $360 in rolls from the teller...all skunks! ;D . You never know, today I got a 2005-s silver roosevelt in a roll, that seemed a bit odd and actually the odds may be even less on that one.

Re: 1970's

10 months of hunting and have only found 2 1970 d's. It is all about the luck. You might even find a complete roll of 70's you just never know.

Re: 1970's

I haven't found any.

Only been doing halves for like 6 months though, though at times between roadtrips and boxes I was doing the equivalent of 20 boxes a week.

Re: 1970's

2 out of roughly 500 boxes searched. That's one for every 250,000 halves searched. If we all put the 1970 halves we found together, we might have a full roll.

Re: 1970's

In about 18 months of doing the CRH thing, I have found only a single, solitary 1970D, and that was in my initial couple of weeks of hunting. Not even sure how I recognized that it was a keeper outside of the fact that I was filling a Whitman coin folderat that time. I do scrutinize dates as I hunt, so if I ever had another one I don't think I would have missed it. Few and far between, that is for sure!

Re: 1970's

I have been CRH for over a year and still haven't found a '70D. However I don't CRH nearly as much as some of you guys. Good luck on finding a roll of them!

Re: 1970's

Was at Wallyworld a few months back to visit their in-store bank. The teller produced 1 half. 1970 D. Thank you.
