Today's Finds and Cool Stuff

Went out with 3G's today and picked up:
2X $500 boxes of halves SKUNKED!

$1,300.00 in hand rolled halves SKUNKED! but I did get the following cool looking coins.

3x Golden Clad Halves -

1x Super fine shiny half -

1x Error half Seems that the edge is doubled or largely beveled.

1x AU? Proof? half with crazy color on it. I think it is proof because it has an S mark. It look like is has "Black Oil" on it but it is actually part of the coin, it seems completely brilliant, not a mark on it. Now it may look like rust or slime but I can assure you that the rainbow o this coin is fantastic. Any ideas?

$280.00 in loose halves - 4 1/2 rolls of 40% and 3x 90%
$100.00 in hand rolled dimes - 1x 64 Rosie

Pics are all below

A skunk had to come sooner or later.

Who cares about the skunk boxes. You did great on the handrolled silver. Ever try Bridgeport? Lots of hand rolled dimes and quarters coming into the banks in the City.

Looks like your proof was damaged either by fire or a flood or some kind of chemical spill of some sort. I've found one with similar stains on it like the one you posted before.

I dunno, but I am trying to figure it out. It is definitely not from a fire. Chemical spill, I cant say because it is actually past of the coin itself. It's actually just so dark because of the lighting, but it has a rich rainbow cameo to it.

I am not an error expert.... :( I am still learning, so not really any comment on the 1971-D other than I would cash it back in....someone else correct me if there is any value to something like that.
