So I spent a few hours touring the local banks and found a few that carry halfs FINALLY! Well with my limited funds i bought 100 at one bank 100 at another bank and 50 at another bank and picked up 3 boxes of cents at banks that didn't have halfs. Went to 9 banks total with some interesting results 2 banks i was told i need an account to buy coins ok np, and another bank i was told i need an account or they can charge me 7 cents a roll i said thanks but no. The 3 boxes I bought cents at only one asked if i had an account and i told her nope and she said i can sell you them but we can't take them back i told her no problem. It was a fun trip and Wow does my city have a ton of banks ( i don't think i hit 5% of them :P)
Now I know you are saying get to the point already what was your take! Well I found Silver, except it was in one of the cent boxes. I got a 1965 Canadian dime - same box had a 50 Sverige Ore peice from 2006 in it, neat! Halfs produced NOTHING but a skunk for me they were all machine rolled so it was kind of a disappointment oh well better luck next time.
The cent boxes wheat yields as follows:
CWI BOX #1 1942 1945 1945 1945D 1946 1949D 1953D 1956D 1956D 1957D (bonus dime and ore)
CWI BOX #2 1949 1950D 1952D 1953S 1955 1956 1958D
Brinks BOX #3 1935D 1940D 1945 1945 1945D 1955D 1958D
So 24 wheats in 3 boxes, I think the most important thing was i had quite a bit of fun
