10 boxes - 1 silver

The title says it all.

I still enjoy reading about everyone that finds these dream boxes, but in over 2 1/2 years of doing this I still have only ONE BOX where I found more than THREE silver in it. IN 31 months! And it had 11 I think (It was 18 months ago or so). But the rest? Mostly skunks and then a few with 1.

Good thing I find silver in loose change and rolls from time to time. But boxes still are ROUGh out here in AZ.

How in the world do all those dream boxes keep coming up elsewhere? Man - to have ONE of those.

Okay, okay, back to congrats to the others on their finds. (I truly DO feel good about your finds, even if they are not my finds. )

Actually I think it is more than that. I think someone wiped out a lot of the good stuff in Phoenix. SOmething is just different here than back east. No one I know gets good boxes here. Sometimes good finds, but always in individual wrapped rolls. SOmeone took the cream off the top here.

I average less than 1 silver per box, after over 200 boxes. Luck has a way of averaging out over time. That's why casinos end up winning in the end. But 200 boxes and less than 1 per box? Says a lot about what is here.

I"m okay with that though. I do more pennies than halves, and those too are less than back east but I average about 6.3 wheats per roll and about 17% in copper. And the loose rolls of halves give me some good finds once in a while. :-) I guess I just gotta whine sometimes, since I see so many good boxes from others and mine just aren't that way. But it's all good, even with lower numbers. :-D

It could be that you live in a retirement community and they all cashed in their collections to get there from here.

In Michigan all everyone talks about is retiring to Florida or Arizona. But before they leave they sell off most of their worldly possessions.

I know the feeling... Since Oct. 08 I have searched 63 boxes and all have been skunks for silver, I have found proofs, NIFC's and that is it. NO SILVER. That is why I do so many pennies, there is just no silver to be found here in NY.

And yet my brother in NJ finds silver in EVERY box he has EVER looked at. (Ahem. A total of only about 8 - 9 boxes so far, but STILL. It drives me MAD! Not a skunk in his history yet!)

And yet he does one box every MONTH or two. IN fact, in his FIRST box he found a walker. And in his second box he found numerous Ben's. Yet he has only done about 8-9 boxes in the past year. He tells me when he FINALLY gets around to geting another box. And always it has all sorts of good things in it, and silver all over the place. I tell him to do MORE, but he just doesn't like dumping them. he has to roll them, and it takes him a few weeks to do it. Poor guy! HA! I'd roll them hourly if I was finding silver in EVERY box! LOL.

Of course - he's not addicted yet, like I am.

jrf, Sounds to me you might be a prime candidate for a weekend getway road trip. One that is well planned out anyway. You could stand to hit it big. This year I am finding most everything on the road.
