I sold today $16.50 worth of 40% halves

Well, today I sold 33 40% halves or $16.50 worth of 40% halves.

The dealer paid me $55.28 for the 33 coins or $3.35 per dollar


I am just keeping my 90% halves now that could be sold for about $10.80 per dollar


What do you all think

If you got 'em CRHing, you did OK, like the OP said, a little over 3x face value...I don't think I'd sell'em for that ($2.17 under spot) though, unless I had too....

I've got a local pawn shop that will give me $9 a gram anytime I wish to sell scrap gold.

They have no interest in .925 silver jewelry. Zero, zip, nada.

I took the $$$$ amount the dealer paid versus how much Ag content is in 33 40%er's.....and at spot right NOW; the dealer paid almost $2 Under spot value

But again, if you got 'em CRHing, you still came out ahead....

My local coin dealer told me the same thing. We were talking and I told hime that I had some rolls that I'd been saving (he doesn't know I CRH). He said " Bring them by anytime, they're worth $.70 each here". I told him that I didn't want to sell them. I would put them all in the Salvation Army bucket at Christmas before I would sell them for that.

I think you sold too low. I think you could have done better on ebay than that. But if you're happy, that's all that matters.
