Give me another week and I will tell ya. mine is on order as we speak. Yes, I have been doing 40+ boxes of pennies a week by hand. Not any more. LOL!

It's extremely addictive!

yep that is what I have. The only bad part is the cents get heavy..

If you do rolls you should have no problems if you do bags watch out for paper, rubber bands, buttons and batteries the machine does not like them. Also keep an eye for bent coins They jam up the machine.

along with jewelry, crud, and normal pennies too.

I've nicknamed mine the Jamdale, but don't let that scare you away. visit realcent.forumco.com and read other threads about the ryedale there (you need to sign in to see the Ryedale forum). Note that everyone there is pro-Ryedale and you will see very few negative posts.

It's a handy tool and well worth it to buy it from him rather than build it yourself. He does use the expensive parts (not the $25 cheapo coin comparitor you see on ebay, but the real CC-16 and such).

It is prone to jamming if you let it accumulate too much crud. You do need to lubricate it to get it to run smooth, but the catch 22 is that the lubrication will accumulate crud much faster. You can use an off the shelf graphite lubricant with molybdenum, but the Dri-slide (same lubricant) works much better as it's engineered to be applied via a quick drying solvent that uses much finer graphite particles that penetrate deeper.

If you are looking for things like Wide AM and such, the Ryedale will not help you.

If you are looking for wheats and want to hoard copper cents, the Ryedale is invaluable, but remember that the very old wheats and indian heads will almost always go into the zinc pile. They are very easy to spot, if you are paying close attention.

Hope this helps.

I'd rather have my Ryedale than all three of my metal detectors. I use it MUCH more often, I get better results, and I"m sitting on a LOT of copper (Which is going back UP already. A nd china is importing a LOT of it the last 10 days)

ON a 1 to 10, I give it a SOLID 10. Solid!

I built mine and I love it. I use a different Hopper.

How durable is it Ryedale Hopper?

What are you doing with the Copper Cents... We can't sell them ... or is the Ban revoked? Hording isn't an option when the Stock Market is going to go Bananas...

WTF?

Peace

There is not a ban on selling copper pennies. Only on melting them. I see them on ebay all the time. And last week the average $50 bag of copper on eay was selling for about $70. PLus the buyer pays the shipping. So not too bad if you want a flip. 40% can be had in a week! If only I had enough copper to buy and sell onlgoing. Instead - I'm hoarding it for now.

When the economy comes back I think copper will go much higher than last time. WIthin a year I expect to sell for over $150 per bag. And a year ago it was not hard to sell at $130 per $50 bag. So I don't need to sell now at $70 and I hope to sell at $150 in a year. But if not, I can sell at $70 then, and still be happy with it. :-)

As for the stock market ... do I expect the market to double in a year? No way. Not going to happen ... IMHO. So I think hoarding copper and getting more than a double within a year is a better deal than the market, if one had to choose. unfortunatley, I can't get enough copper to have to choose anyway. But I like pennies better than the market for the next 12 months as an overall expected return, not ilncluding the labor to get the copper hoarded. And safer too, as I can lose ZERO with my copper pennies. You can't say that for the market. But personally I don't see the market about to "go bananas". The real estate market? that I see doing better than the stock market, and with "dividends" (Known as rent) of about 15% cash on cash while holding the houses, it makes more sense to me to buy houses right now in this low priced frezzy than buy sotcks in this low priced market. Unless I could get one paying 15% in dividends. (I do covered calls too, and that can stil get you 15% in cash flow while waiting for a stock to go up. I own some stocks too. Just not as much as real estate. And it isn't stopping me from hoarding copper either)

i have ordered a machine, the coin artist. hope to get it next week. i spoke with the guy about the machine and he said the technology has existed for sometime and part of it is in use in the casino industry, he said that he just paird the two technologies together. he also tried to explain other things about the machine to me and i just decided it would be easier for me to just order one from him instead of trying to put one together myself. can't wait until it gets here, already got 500.00 in loose pennies in bags just waiting to be poured in...

It was a pretty easy build. use your imagination and build it. I have moved on to do dimes with one and cents in the other.

I figure that if I get an Oz. of silver a day I am doing good. and most days that is before noon.
