Re: wide AM's........

Hello,
I have gone through THOUSANDS of 98, 99, 2000's I have 3 98's, 1 99, 8 2000's. They are only on the "P's" (no mint mark) the 1999 is the gem to find VERY VERY hard to find and goes for about $300, the other 2 are more common and go for about $25 in high AU condition(RED).

Hope this helps,
Jason

Re: wide AM's........

on Ken Potters site it says:
This Is The RARE ONE!!!
1999 Type-2 (Wide AM Rev):
MS63 RD - $425, MS64 RD - $495, MS65 RD - $650

The supply of these is very limited!

Fewer than 300 known in all grades!

only 300 known to exist??? is this true? ???

Re: wide AM's........

I have been through 83,500 pennies so far...checking dates on all of them. So far I have found 5 1998s and 3 2000s.

Well I guess I nailed it pretty good then with $300 for a High AU coin. See I do know what I am talking about... Sometimes.

There may be only 300 slabbed and graded but there is more than that out there.

The 1999 is definitely a tough one.

Re: wide AM's........

I also have been looking at a lot of pennies. I have found 2 of the 99 wide AM's and none of the 98 or 2000 pennies. I took mine to a local coin dealer and he said he was not interested in buying anything like that. I do not do e-bay so where might I be able to sell the two I have? :icon_scratch:

Re: wide AM's........

I have found at least 30 each of the 1998 and 2000 and I have found 3 1999. I just sold a 3 year set on Ebay and they went for $154 on Thursday, another 3 coin set went for $325 the same day but they were all slabbed coins. Keep looking, they are out there.

You guys are nutz with all of your pennies and error types and what not. lol. Not for me. I guess I just don't quit get it. But if someone wants to pay for something like that...more power to ya. GL though. You wont be seeing me post anything else but silver and maybe once in a blue moon wheat counts.
