It's official, silver is all gone, somebody lock the door and turn out the lights on the way out...

Can we speculate that this was the complete dump which landed all in one box? I find it interesting it was an even 600 coins which would be 30 rolls from a collection. I suppose that if the one bag with all of the silver was dumped into the rolling machine first, everything would land in one box.

Mountainman, how many solid rolls did your friend find which were from a few weeks ago. Do you think there is any connection to this hoard?

I definitely think there may be a sister and even a brother box out there.

Also am NOT voting this or any other find for coin roll hunting for a banner as I think it would ruin CRH'g even more. We do not n to this hobby.

Sorry :(

Even though it is absolutely worthy and spectacular. :o

The #1 rule of CRH'g is you don't talk about CRH'g........

He actually found 2 solid rolls of silver in one of his boxes. I really believe it was part of the same batch of coins and that there is still more out there somewhere. Coinmojo, i understand completely what you're saying. There is a lot of competition out there already. I just saw what I knew was going to be a great box and wanted everyone here to experience what it was like going thru it.HH-MM2

Check your book on those 1917 reverse S. I DO NOT have my book with me but I think they may be worth a little extra.

Mojo,

I agree with you 100% about not advertising CRHing since it only creates more CRHers. But don't you think that posting pictures on here of large caches on a daily basis is the same?

That is why I think it is a bad idea to post photos of large finds on here. We all know what silver coins look like. Any new lurkers on here will see the photos and there you have a new CRHer. I don't mind this as long as the new CRHer is in somebody else's territory and not mine.

An exception to this is rare or odd finds, not stacks and stacks of 40%ers, etc.

I know nobody here will agree with me on this issue, but it is the same as not wanting Mountain's outstanding find to become a banner.

Jim
