hard times equal old coins entering system

jus nother sign of th times. i wasnt really convinced.

hit some garage sales recently..one sale had 200 empty used whitman folders

other had about 100 empty coin storeage tubes all marked 1964.

course when u ask why they answer with non committal bullcrap.

why not tell the truth. what would it hurt? the coins are already gone.

course people got pride i guess. bought some unused folders for a quarter each and all the tubes for a fin.

jus hope a few are entering circ and not all goin to dealers !

Congressman John Doe, who makes plenty of money and will never be out of work, buys coins from Uncle Moe's Pawnshop to add to his gigantic coin collection.
One day when Congressman Doe is out collecting a payoff from some lobbyist. Juan Doez breaks into his apartment and steals the entire collection. Juan can't sell the coins at Uncle Moe's because there are cameras everywhere in the joint so he drops them in a coin counter or has his girlfriend cash it in at a bank. The coins eventually make their way back into the boxes where they will be found by a lucky CRH.

Rich, that was some great story tellin but you forgot when the old man Jim Boe (an avid coin collector for 50 years) kicks the bucket and his elderly and somewhat absent minded wife Judith decides to cash in the collection for face value because she never understood why he collected the dang dirty things to begin with. Besides she has bingo tonight at 5 o'clock and Bettsy said she wasn't paying for cab fare this time. That is when Slim Jim Mckenzie the Coin Roll Hunter a.k.a Golden Silver swoops in with his money bags and picks up the silver at Judith' bank. Ahhhhh isn't life grand?

i agree with you rich. i have said for a while now that these walkers, bens, and barbers that we are finding in these boxes are coming from a coin counting machine somewhere in a supermarket, that is the only way they could be getting by the tellers that would snatch them up and we would never see um
