Came out of the casino tonight and it smelled like downtown was on fire. A 15 minute drive back to my place and it smelled even worse. Turns out it's smoke from the CA wildfires. There's a soupy haze over the entire city, nasty! I don't envy anyone with asthma right now.
As far as the booty goes, $70 in nickels turned up a 1943-P silver (woo hoo!) and a 1989 Canadian.
Pennies were quite interesting. From $10 -
Wheats: [red]1915-D[/red], 1948, 1953-S, 1955-D
2009 Type One: 16 (all D, one more needed to finish a roll)
2009 Type Two: 5 (all D)
2009 Type Three: 2 (both D, my first of this design, yeah baby!)
Canadian: 1995, 2001
Foreign: Germany, 2 pfennig, 1984-G (2nd one this month, wonder if someone dumped a quantity of these)
The 1915-D is not only my new oldest for the year, but it's a first ever find for that variety. Awesome! Also finished my $25 bag of wheats (1940-58).
