My totals after about 1.5 months of coin hunting..... I started the end of July looking for coins. I started collecting paper currency during the middle of July.

417 40% silver halfs
14 1964's
3 Franklin halfs (1954d, 1958d, 1962d)
2 Walking Liberty Halfs (1941, 1917)
18 Ikes
3 Proof set halfs (2002s, 1977s, 1982s)
1 Commemerative piece (xxvi olympiad baseball s)

I have also found 2 susan b anthony dollar coins within rolls of 50 cent pieces.
I have purchased 2 susan b's at a bank, not much value in them just decided to collect them for the heck of it.

I have picked up a few old pieces of paper currency along the way.

I have searched through approx. $10,000.00 of halfs

Ive searched probably around 3,000 dollars of brinks the only things i have found in brinks rolls, or any other company rolled coins were about 40 -40%ers- and 1 Franklin.

I really don't like brinks/or any other coin distributing company rolls due to the fact that for me its either hit or miss with a box.

I would rather search for rolls that have been hand rolled.

I have found silver in rolls that were "marked" by what you would think would be a coin roll hunter. My thought is that some people mark the rolls just so they know that they have 20 coins in them.

Has anyone ever found what they thought were unsearched brinks rolls and found that the bottom of the roll has been gutted out and just folded back over the coins. I found $210.00 of searched brinks rolls just like these, I was very very mad about it too because i thought i was going to searched through unsearched brinks rolls when sure enough they had been gutted out and just folded over the end they got all the coins out of. If anyone has seen this let me know.

You are doin pretty darn good, Big. When I quit hunting back early April, I had searched $12k in halves for the year, and only scored about 100 /40's and 7 /90's, and that includes 2 solid silver hand-rolled. I searched mostly boxes.
Good luck, ffd

I see those rolls all the time. Some CRH will get rid of dumps this way. If you ask for rolls and they say they have $500 you will often get a box like this. No big deal, just drive around the block and dump at the next bank, or better yet split it between two banks and the other CRH will pick up his own dumps on his next round. But I must say you have some nice early totals going there. If you can keep these numbers up you will be doing well.

The majority of the brinks I search I put back in rolls and turn in. My local bank only takes rolled course I spend some on gas and w/e . I only make a loose dump once a week and its a bit further drive so to be more effecient and keep money in account I reroll the halves I dont spend. I have recieved one box like you said with ends reclosed, but its part of the hunt. If we are all honest and I am I am in this for my hobby and benefit not to make the next guys job easier lol. Sorry but guess I am all about me ( and so are most people). :hello2:

That's great. After 5 1/2 months and about $60,000 in searched halves from boxes and road trips I have a grand total of.

117 40%
41 90%

The search goes on.
