need some help from some of you foreign coin experts

i found these two coins in my half boxes. i was wondering if they are silver. the round one is from bermuda and dated 1970. the one shaped like a stop sign is dated 1978 and has the words "D.G REG.F.D-1978" on the side of the obverse and has the words "NEW PENCE" on the reverse.

They are both CuNi.

clad is that what you said? i know almost nothing about foreign currency and even less about chemistry

Most silver was out of coins by 1970. There are a few exceptions.

until 1919 british coins were 925 silver then 500 silver till 1945 --the cost of the 2 world wars in both cases lead TO THE WATERING DOWN OF BRITSH MONEY --silver content wize ---canada had silver in their money till 67

nickle or copro nickle replaced them

Canada actually had some silver coins minted in 68 as well.
