In a recent "Found in Rolls" column in Coin World magazine, Bill O'Rourke told how he found a 700-year-old British coin in a roll of dimes. That's gonna be tough to top but what are your oldest finds?

Mine:

Penny - 1898 Indian Head cent

Nickel - Until recently a 1912 Liberty nickel, but a couple of weeks ago an 1899 popped out of a batch and wowed me. Nothing like finding a nickel from two centuries ago!

Dime - 1940 Merc. I haven't searched dimes very much but this was a surprise.

Quarter - a 1929 Standing Liberty last Christmas.

Half - Just started halves this year and after searching just over $5000 worth the oldest was a 1942 Walker. I was happy for a week!

Yours?

Hi

Cent--U.S--1910; Canadian, 1945 (just yesterday!) :)
Nickel--dateless buffalo ???
Dime--1941 Mercury :)
Quarter--Not much luck after hundreds of dollars--1965 :-\
Halves--Try as I will no pre-65 silver from rolls....1966 >:(

Still, it's fun, and as all treasure hunters think, there's always tomorrow! ;)
