Tip O'the day

Do you know anyone who manages a store? If so ask them if they have one of those Coinstar machines, the ones that people dump their change jars into. I hear the guys who pick up those coins find an abnormaly high amount of older coins.

My sister has netted me-

2 Morgans
3 Walking liberty halves
scads of silver dimes, Buffalo nickels, and wheaties.

that she got off the guy who cleans out the machines.

(Actually one of the Morgans a guy paid for his purchase with!)

I work for stop n shop supermarkets in new york. I found about 2 weeks ago 5 steel pennies that had got stuck inthe coin star. I plan to keep a good eye on that machine from now on. You also get a lot of foreign coins as well as euro coins hh

You can turn your halves in to a coinstar machine, but you will also pay an 8% fee. Take in $500 in halves, and you will only received $460 back. Not worth it to me.

Not a chance I will not pay 8% to cash in loose change. If someone is going to rob me,please use a pistol so I feel a little bit better about it. Good luck.
