I'm wetting myself as i was so excited i had to write this... :hello2:

just picked up 6x $500 bags from one of my trusty banks.
after a quick glance and positive indication from a few of the bags (very shiny coins) i threw them in the back of my FJ.

the ride home jingled to the sound of silver on silver.

i'll post later.

Did i mention that nearly all of the 1000 40%s look uncirculated?
Or if not, under my loop they look pretty darn AU.
A few with nice die-cracks too.

And isn't it strange not a single 1970 in the lot...and only 2 90%s and an old '59 Benny.

Now to unload the booty...anyone have a direct source in the US paying $2 or more for bulk.
Or am I ebay/craigslist bound...

You should have no problem getting $2 each. When the melt value was around $2.05, I got multiple hits on my Craigslist post to sell about 700 40% ers.

CongrAGs!!

Yeah my wife got 2 dream Boxes of %40's back to back one order to the next & only found one %90 in the bunch and probably %80 of the Silver was super shiney (not sure what AU or BU is). oh the two boxes had 567, and 549; and even in her 20 Boxes we did last week most of the 338 %90's were super good looking- shiney too, like they were never in circulation or not for long anyway.

BU is numismatic term for Brilliant Uncirculated. AU means Almost/About Uncirculated.

with todays rate the silver value is $2.58 each. The refinery I use will pay out about $2.32 each. Send me PM if you are interested in their number. I have used them at least 6 times now since summer.

Thanks all.

More bags tomorrow & Tues.
I'd love to believe I'm near the bottom of the bag palette.
Where the magic uncirculated shiny has been sleeping all these years.
If i hit big again in either of those loads...i'll certainly be ordering 20 bags on Weds morn. :laughing7:

Though I'm sure it was just a random lucky lode. Like some others here have had.
Nice to know it's still out there though.

Luck to all players. :icon_thumright:
